Terms of Service
Effective: 13 June 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using PDFPipe (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid account holders.
2. The Service
PDFPipe provides an HTTP API for converting HTML and URLs to PDF documents. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice for paid accounts.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share it publicly or commit it to source control. Notify us immediately at hello@pdfpipe.xyz if you believe your key has been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use PDFPipe to:
- Render content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours
- Generate phishing documents, malware, or fraudulent materials
- Attempt to access internal network resources via the URL-to-PDF feature
- Exceed your plan quota through automated abuse or credential sharing
- Resell API access without a written reseller agreement
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules without refund.
5. Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via our payment processor. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in an enterprise contract. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Data and Privacy
HTML and URL payloads you submit are processed ephemerally unless you opt in to document storage. Stored documents are retained for the duration defined by your plan and then permanently deleted. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
7. Uptime and SLA
We target 99.9% uptime. Contractual SLA commitments are available on Enterprise plans only and are governed by the enterprise agreement. Hobby and paid self-serve plans have no contractual uptime guarantee.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFPipe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify paid account holders by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
